Getting into the Christmas spirit

Every year, I make atleast one new ornament and/or decoration. this year it was a new decoration for the front door.

I had seen so many different snowman over on Pinterest. So here is my take on it. I used flat pieces of foam and wrapped in yarn. I used fabric for the scarf and felt to make the hat.

C thinks it needs eyes but I like it the way it is. LOL

We have several of their games and we love them. Our new favorite is 100 Wacky Things. It's so much fun. You have to do all kinds of fun stuff according to the cards. And it comes with props.

they have all kinds of cool stuff.... They didn't ask me to post this. But I wanted to tell everyone about them bc I love their stuff.

another couple of games we love are Word Shout - C has a few problems b/c she isnt' a fast speller. But playing it she is getting better. C and her friends love Tastes Like Chicken. And I love it because it's easy to carry with us. We also have one of their Take N' Play anywhere games - Hangman - that we take on car trips.

I didn't realize we had this many Patch Product games. LOL

And if you have a younger child that loves Sid the Science kid they have some kits that are prefect for them. We have checked out two of them - Why are Wheels Round? and How do plants grow?

And this is our second year, taking part in the Million Minute Family Challenge.

I've got a wishlist of their product going. Things like the 5 second rules game. It looks like it would be fun too. And I think C would enjoy Buzzword Jr. And C wants Are you smarter then a 5th grader?

What all I've been up too?

Well, it's been a busy month. can't believe it's almost Dec.
Thought I would share what I've been up too.

I've been testing crochet patterns over at Ravelry. so I thought I would share what I've been crocheting on.

This is called the "boyfriend scarf" - it's so nice and easy.

Lastuna Cowl is next. another quick and easy project.

Fingerless gloves for my daughter.

a chunky winter headband - love it.

I'm loving working on my crochet and trying out all these patterns. Hope I've inspired someone to work on some craft projects.

Looks like Fall is here

well, the weather is changing....getting cooler. the trees are changing. it's fall... I like fall b/c of the changing of the trees, but that's about all. I'm not a cold weather person. I have a lot of sinus problems with the colder weather.

Halloween isn't too far away....C is wanting a pumpkin. Told her next weekend. so watch for pictures of that.

I did recently test a crochet pattern over at ravelry. May need it now that the weather is getting cold.



I actually did two of these... I was thinking Christmas gifts. But I may have to keep one. LOL

Speaking of Christmas, I taught my junior girl scouts to loom knit at the last meeting and sent them home with a loom and yarn to make a scarf. Told them they could keep it or give it as a gift. So I guess we will see in a week what they have created. I meant to get pictures, but forgot, I know bad leader. LOL

this past weekend, we went to a event to celebrate Juliette Low's birthday. Only part of the troop went, but I think the girls had a good time for the most part.

End of Sept

Well, it's been a bit. My laptop had to have the hard drive replaced... so was without it for 2 weeks.

but we are back at it now. LOL

Put the fall wreath out this week, not sure how I'll decorate for Halloween. Really don't want to do all the fake spiderweb this year. Would love to have a bale of hay, but that's not going to happen.

How do you decorate for Halloween/fall? I've been looking at some ideas over on pinterest, but haven't decided on anything.
